  1. Overview:
    The North American Dart Organization (NADO) is a network of coin-operated dart league operators that utilize a unique player rewards program to promote the sport of soft tip electronic darts. Players are rewarded for both participation and skill. This means that many players with modest levels of skill will have an opportunity to earn much larger rewards than are typically available to them from other programs. The awarding of regular season points is described in each corresponding section.
    1. The NADO Program Year for the purpose of tracking regular season points starts on July 1st of each year and ends on June 30th of the following calendar year. It is not necessary to compete the entire year for a player to be competitive.
    2. Local Post Season Points from a Franchisee’s post season finale (typically held after July 1) are added to the previous regular season points to get the season total for the purposes of awarding local prizes based on point totals. Local post season points do not count toward the NADO Continental total.
    3. NADO Continental Post Season Points from the NADO post season finale (typically held in Oct.) are added to the previous regular season points to get the season total for the purposes of awarding NADO Continental prizes.
    4. Mid-Season Starting Bonus Points are awarded to players of new NADO franchisees that enter the program near the halfway point of a season. These points are added on a pro-rated schedule in order to help those players to be competitive in the current season even though they would have a late start. The award schedule is such that they would still have to maintain a slightly larger than average participation level in order to be competitive for the top prizes. These points will allow players to participate in events that require minimum point levels for qualification, but they may not be used for the purposes of obtaining special recognition awards such as shirts, etc. for achieving specified point levels.

  1. Local Leagues
    NADO franchisees select which of their local league programs will be participating in the NADO program. There are guidelines within the franchisee agreement that specify the franchisee’s required participation levels based on the number of years of NADO participation. Franchisees have full control over the management of their local leagues. There are some criteria for a local league to participate in the NADO program. Franchisees can only designate NADO leagues in territories where they are authorized to participate.
    1. Fees: There are local league fees for participating NADO leagues. These fees fund the Franchisee’s Local Player Rewards Program as well as the NADO Continental Program and NADO management fund. Each franchisee will establish their own means of collecting these fees which are then paid to NADO on a regular basis. NADO holds the Franchisee’s Local Player Rewards Program fees and disburses them to the Franchisee at the end of each program year.
    2. League Participation Points (LPP) are earned by players for participating in an approved NADO Local League. Players in these leagues will earn 2 NADO league points for each completed night of NADO participating league play during a season.  Players can earn up to a maximum of 75 LPP per season. League points will only count when played in the season in which they are scheduled. 
    3. League Participation Bonus Points (L-PBP) are earned as players reach specific thresholds of NADO League participation.  Each time a player completes 12 matches in NADO participating league play the player will be awarded 4 L-PBP. L-PBP are combined with MPRT-PBP to share a cap of 15 total Bonus Points per season.
    4. Local League Types, formats and handicaps are determined by the Franchisee.
      1. Youth Leagues or leagues required to have a youth on a team are excluded from NADO participation. Players must be at least 18 years of age to participate in NADO programs. Local franchisees may have other age restrictions.
      2. Remote Leagues (Non-Co-op) are eligible for NADO rewards points.
      3. Co-op Leagues must be between NADO affiliates to award NADO Player Rewards Points. Co-op league points are initially tracked under the franchisee managing the league data. Provided the franchisees agree, a player’s rewards points can be transferred to their home market. This is a manual process and the player must submit the appropriate form to NADO for points to be transferred between franchisees.
  1. Player Removal from a local league for violation of local franchisee or NADO rules including “Did Not Finish” may result in removal from other NADO programs and loss of local and NADO rewards points.
     
  1. NADO Remote Leagues
    NADO will manage remote leagues for players that play for NADO Franchisees. All information, rules and registration will be posted on the NADO website. All NADO Remote League play must take place on the same NADO franchisee’s boards as identified on the team/player registration.
    1. Fees for NADO Remote leagues are paid by players. They are deducted from the league entry fees.
    2. Rewards points from NADO remote league play will count toward the NADO Continental Rewards Program and the local program where matches are played.
    3. Player Removal from a NADO Remote League for violation of local franchisee or NADO rules including “Did Not Finish” may result in removal from the local leagues, other NADO programs and loss of local and NADO rewards points.
       
  2. Member Player Rewards Tournaments (MPRTs)
    NADO promotes local tournament play and tracks participation and quality finish points as part of the NADO Player Rewards Program. There is a $1 player fee for participating in an MPRT.
    1. MPRT Participation Points: Players will earn 5 points for every designated NADO MPRT that the player participates in without forfeiting up to a maximum of 60 participation points per season.
    2. MPRT Participation Bonus Points (MPRT-PBP): Players will earn 1 bonus point for every 4 designated NADO MPRT that the player participates in without forfeiting, MPRT-PBP are combined with L-PBP to share a cap of 15 total Bonus Points per season.
    3. MPRT Quality Finish Points (MPRT-QFP):
      1. Players will earn 2 MPRT-QFPs for winning men or being the highest placing female at a designated NADO MPRT up to a maximum of 10 MPRT-QFPs per season.
      2. A female player can only earn 2 MPRT-QFPs per event (1st Place = Highest, so 1st place female is also highest & only 2 points awarded). If 2 or more females tie for the same highest quality finish position, they will each be awarded 2 points.
      3. If a player has capped out for the season on MPRT-QFPs the MPRT-QFPs will not pass down. This incentivizes a capped player to continue to participate in MPRTs in an attempt to block other players from earning MPRT-QFPs.
    4. Player Eligibility: A player does not have to be a current NADO league player to participate and earn points in an MPRT. The points are tracked should the player become a NADO league player at a later date. Players must be at least 18 years of age or older as determined by the local franchisee.
    5. Event types:
      1. To ensure opportunity for players of all skill levels, MPRTs are limited to; Blind Draws, Ladies Advantage Draws (Ladies are not allowed to draw another lady for a partner) and separate brackets for men and women.
      2. A franchisee may elect to allow an MPRT to use separate brackets for men and women. There must be at least 8 women and 8 men to run two separate brackets. If originally advertised as two separate brackets and the minimum gender requirements are not reached, then the two groups will be combined into one bracket.
      3. If running separate men’s and women’s brackets this is still considered one MPRT. Both players on the 1st place team in a women’s bracket will receive 2 bonus points.
      4. Other options may be allowed but must be approved by NADO management if they fall outside the rules above.
    6. Earning and Scheduling MPRTs:
      1. The local NADO league operator will schedule these events with participating NADO dart league locations using guidelines established by NADO.
      2. Our schedule determines the number of MPRTs awarded to a location based on league participation.
      3. Days of the week are limited to Fridays (after 6pm), Saturdays and Sundays. Some exceptions are allowed as approved by NADO.
      4. Locations are limited to one MPRT per month. Some exceptions are allowed as approved by NADO.
      5. There are exceptions to the number of MPRTS for a venue for small and outlying markets so that players in these markets can be competitive in the NADO Player Rewards Program without having to drive excessive distances.
      6. Franchisees are given distance guidelines for MPRTs held on the same date so that these events do not cannibalize each other.

 

  1. NADO Remote MPRTs:
    1. To accommodate small markets, limited seasons, geographic issues, and player schedules, NADO will manage Remote MPRT events so that more players can still be competitive.
    2. These events will initially be handicapped Bring Your Partner Doubles events. Formats may be changed at NADO’s discretion.
    3. Fees for NADO Remote MPRTs are paid by players and are deducted from the entry fees.
    4. Rewards points from NADO remote league play will count toward the NADO Continental Rewards Program and the local program where matches are played.
    5. Player Removal from a NADO franchisee program for violation of local franchisee or NADO rules including “Did Not Finish” may result in being classified as ineligible for NADO Remote MPRTS, removal from the local leagues, other NADO programs and loss of local and NADO rewards points.
       
  2. Other NADO Remote Tournaments: NADO from time to time will host various remote tournament events. Dates, events, formats, qualifications, prizes, or any other items regarding NADO Remote Tournaments will be determined by NADO with information posted at www.nado.net.
     
  3. Participation Bonus Group: Points earned as part of either the League Participation Bonus Points (L-PBP) or MPRT Participation Bonus Points (MPRT-PBP) are combined for calculating the total 15 participation bonus points available.
     
  4. Local Points Shootout Finale:
    1. Each Franchisee shall determine the dates, events, formats, qualifications, prizes, or any other items regarding their Local Points Shootout Finale should they elect to host one.
    2. Points earned through a Local Points Shootout Finale will not count toward the NADO Continental Player Rewards Program.
       
  5. Local Rewards 101 Club is one of the easiest ways to get Player Rewards cash back just from playing in local leagues and tournaments in an affiliated dart league program.
    1. Each Franchisee shall determine the qualifications, prizes or any other items regarding their Local Rewards 101 Club should they elect to host one. The local 101 Club prize pool as determined by the local franchisee shall be split among all players that achieve 101 Player Rewards Points or more in the local franchisee program for the season. This shall include post season points earned through competition in the local franchisee’s finale should they elect to host that event.
    2. All eligible player’s total regular season points combined with any local post season points are added together and divided into the 101 Club pool to determine the value of each point. Players are then awarded the calculated dollar amount from the prize pool.
    3. NADO Continental Finale points will not count toward the Local Rewards 101 Club.
       
  6. Local Rewards Bonus Pool is the bonus points race money that creates larger local cash bonuses and excitement from a points race.
    1. Each Franchisee shall determine the qualifications, prizes or any other items regarding their Local Rewards Bonus Pool should they elect to host one.
    2. All eligible player’s total regular season points combined with any local post season points will be added together to determine their respective final points race standings position. Players are then awarded the amount corresponding to their position.
    3. Local Franchisees may elect to have separate bonus pools for men and women or a single combined bonus pool for both men and women.
    4. Players tied for the same position will share the total of all prizes in the tied positions divided equally among the tied players.
    5. NADO Continental Finale points will not count toward the Local Rewards Bonus Pool.
       
  7. Playing for Multiple Franchisees may occur for some players during a NADO program season. Players are awarded local franchise player rewards points separately for each franchisee’s local player rewards program. An exception to this rule may arise when a player competes in a co-op league between two or more NADO franchisees. See Rule 2.D.iii for more information.
     
  8. NADO Finale: NADO will host a Continental NADO Player Rewards Program Finale each year. Dates, events, formats, qualifications, prizes, or any other items regarding the NADO Finale will be determined by NADO with information posted at www.nado.net. All players must be at least 18 years of age & meet all other requirements. The 2022 program will have the following events:
  1. NADO Super Bonus Uncapped Invitational: This invitational event is open to select leading players that continue to participate in affiliated NADO league programs exceeding the prior regular season league point caps.
      1. The uncapped League Participation Points standings at the end of the regular season (June 30th) will determine which players will be invited to enter this money added event. 
      2. The top 96 men and 48 women will be eligible to compete in the draw team money added event that is open by invitation only.
      3. Eligible players must submit their entries per registration rules to compete.
      4. Since the eligible pool was expanded in 2021, available spots not taken by the original deadline will no longer be passed down to subsequent players in the standings.
      5. We reserve the right to remove the lowest registered player(s) in the standings if for any reason all spots are not filled, and the event would have an uneven number of players.
      6. Event format will be determined by NADO.
      7. No rewards points are earned for this event.
  2. NADO Friday Blind Draws: This added money event will have separate divisions for men and women. Players will be placed in bracket/divisions based on individual skill ratings prior to teams being drawn. Players must have 96 total NADO affiliated league games during the prior NADO regular season. Players will earn 5 participation points.
  3. NADO Saturday Morning Capped Triples: This is an added money bring your own team capped triples event. Team caps will be determined by NADO and posted prior to team registration. Players on a team may come from any NADO franchisee program. Teams will be divided into divisions based on skill ratings. Players must have 96 total NADO affiliated league games during the prior NADO regular season. Players will earn 5 participation points.
  4. NADO Saturday Afternoon Capped Doubles: This is an added money bring your own team capped doubles event. Team caps will be determined by NADO and posted prior to team registration. Players on a team may come from any NADO franchisee program. Teams will be divided into divisions based on skill ratings. Players must have 96 total NADO affiliated league games during the prior NADO regular season. Players will earn 5 participation points.
  5. NADO Sunday Points Race Finales: This is an added money blind draw event. This is also the major event for awarding points during the NADO Finale. Players are placed in divisions based on gender and skill level. The number of divisions within a gender class will be based on the number of NADO Bonus Pools in each gender class. The draw for this event will be an A/B/C draw which means that players within each division are rated as A, B or C based on a power curve for that division. NADO will determine where those rating lines are drawn within each division. An ‘A’ rated player cannot draw another ‘A’ rated player. A ‘C’ rated player cannot draw another ‘C’ rated player. All other combinations are allowed. Players must have 96 total NADO affiliated league games during the prior NADO regular season. Players must have 75 NADO rewards during the prior NADO regular season. Local post season points do not count toward the NADO Continental total. Players will earn 15-55 Rewards Points based their team's finishing position on the bracket. If any bracket is not even, NADO will allow on-site players that did not pre-register to sign up as standbys. Any available spots will be awarded to the standby player with the highest NADO points standing from the previous regular season. If two or more players are tied in the standings the spot will be awarded to the player with the highest skill rating.
  6. NADO Bonus Pools are the most exciting portion of the NADO Finale as major bonus prizes are paid based on final post season NADO Continental Points Standings. There will be multiple prize divisions for men and women. Players will be placed in a division prior to the NADO Sunday Points Race Finale based on player ratings or other criteria as determined by NADO. Each division’s size and prize pool are determined by NADO based on actual player participation from all franchisees during both the regular season and post season finale. NADO will determine the number of positions paid in each division. There is no guarantee that attending the NADO Finale event(s) will earn a player a place in a NADO Bonus Pool. Local post season points do not count toward the NADO Continental total.
  7. NADO Ton 80 Club: NADO will establish a prize pool for players that exceed the 180 NADO Player Rewards Points level. Points from the previous regular season are added to points earned during the NADO Continental Finale to calculate a player’s point total. Local post season points do not count toward the NADO Continental total. All eligible players' total regular season NADO Points are added with NADO Finale points and divided into the Ton 80 Club pool to determine the value of each point. Players are then awarded the calculated dollar amount from the prize pool.
     
  1. NADO Player Skill Ratings are determined by NADO using several criteria. For more details visit the NADO Ratings Notes page at www.nado.net. Player ratings are posted on the NADO website. NADO reserves the right to adjust a player’s rating or change the formula used to calculate ratings at any time.
    1. It is each player’s responsibility to confirm that their ratings are accurate. Issues such as multiple player entries under partial names or nicknames, missing data, sandbagging and more can sometimes lead to incorrect player ratings.
    2. NADO reserves the right to use disciplinary action against any player or team that uses an incorrect player rating during any competition. See Rule 15 for Disciplinary Actions.
       
  2. NADO Player Points Tracking is done by NADO and available on the NADO website. NADO reserves the right to adjust a player’s points at any time to correct errors or for disciplinary actions. Neither NADO or the local NADO franchisee will be held responsible for any loss of prizes owed to a player due to multiple player name entries, spelling variations, spelling errors, non-inclusion of league or tournament data or any other electronic or manual data entry error or data loss. It is each player’s responsibility to check the NADO Points standings page for accuracy and omissions and request a correction prior to the awarding of any prizes.
     
  3. Disciplinary Actions:
    1. NADO reserves the right to impose disciplinary actions upon any player or team for; using an incorrect player skill rating, sandbagging, cheating, disrespecting staff and other players or any other action deemed detrimental to the NADO program or a NADO franchisee’s program.
    2. NADO franchisees have the sole discretion to take disciplinary actions against players in their local programs. Local disciplinary actions may result in NADO disciplinary actions.
    3. NADO franchisees or other NADO players can request disciplinary actions against any player or team regardless of which franchisee the play under.
    4. Any violations will be presented to the NADO Disciplinary Committee to determine the appropriate action.
       
  4. Advertised Estimated Prizes: As NADO’s Continental program and each NADO franchisee’s local program are currently in the inaugural seasons and each additional season may show growth or decline from the previous season for various unknown or unforeseen reasons, it impossible to project actual prize fund amounts with 100% certainty. Each franchisee may have leagues and/or markets where the program may be unavailable compared to initial estimates. We have endeavored to use our best efforts using the historical data and other information provided to us by each individual franchisee as we attempted to estimate initial prize amounts for the purpose of advertising and promotion at the beginning of the season for both local and continental programs. We will update the projected prize amounts on websites and social media for both local and continental programs as better information become available.
